To qualify for High-Yield Checking account, you must:

  • Have direct deposit totaling $1,000 or more into your account per month
  • Enroll in Signature e-statements
  • Use your debit card at least 15 times per month for purchases in person or online 

1High-Yield Checking has certain requirements that must be met in order to receive the High-Yield APY: The debit card must be used at least 15 times per month and those transactions must post during the month. SFCU calculates the number of transactions from the first day of the month to the last day of the month. There must be a total of $1,000 being directly deposited into the account each month. The member must be enrolled in e-statements and can only have one High-Yield Checking per account. If any of the requirements are not met, the account will earn the standard checking account rate for that month. Balances above $40,000 or accounts not meeting the qualifications earn 0.00% APY, while balances below $40,000 and meeting the qualifications will earn 4.00% APY. Rates are set by the Board of Directors and may change without notice. Fees could reduce earnings on the account.

ATM Rebate Checking

  • Free ATM fee reimbursement (up to $10 per month) when using out of network ATMs2

To qualify for ATM Rebate Checking account, you must:

  • Have direct deposit totaling $1,000 or more into your account per month
  • Enroll in Signature e-statements

2ATM Rebate Checking has certain requirements that must be met: There must be a total of $1,000 being directly deposited into the account each month. The member must be enrolled in e-statements and can only have one Free ATM checking per account. The ATM reimbursement of up to $10 per month will be posted monthly to the account at the beginning of the following month.

To qualify for Cash Back Debit Checking account, you must:

  • Payroll or Retirement direct deposit required totaling $1,000 or more per month.
  • Only one Cash Back Debit Checking per account.

3Cash Back Debit Checking has certain requirements that must be met: A payroll or retirement direct deposit totaling $1,000 or more per month is required to earn the 1% cash back. Only one Cash Back Debit Checking per account allowed. ATM transactions, the purchase of money orders or other cash equivalents, cash over portions of point-of-sale transactions, Peer-to-Peer (P2P) payments (such as Apple Pay Cash), online sports betting and internet gambling transactions, and loan payments or account funding made with your debit card are not eligible for cash back rewards.

  1. Overdraft Protection Link to Another Deposit Account: applies to all transactions and may help prevent overdrafts by automatically transferring funds to your checking account from another account you may have at Signature Federal Credit Union.
  2. Overdraft Protection Line of Credit: applies to all transactions and may help prevent overdrafts by automatically transferring funds to your checking account from a line of credit you may have at Signature Federal Credit Union for a finance charge. Please note that overdraft lines of credit are subject to credit approval.
  3. Member Privilege: allows you to overdraw your account up to the disclosed limit for a fee to pay a transaction.
